TSC Hurricane along with several other clubs in the Tulsa area have come together for the benefit of financially challenged youth soccer players in Northeast Oklahoma. To meet the ever increasing demands that competitive soccer brings, the costs to clubs to meet those expectations has continued to increase impacting the opportunities for many current and potential competitive players. To help address this challenge, your clubs have come together to create the No Footballer Left Behind Foundation (NFLBF), to generate new revenue sources that will help subsidize many of these players’ cost to play competitive soccer.
The objectives of the NFLBF is to:
1) Raise a minimum of $50,000 a year for the benefit of need based competitive players with the co-operation of all the clubs in Northeast Oklahoma.
2) Unify administrators, coaches and area leaders to collaborate on ideas, strategies and methods to better serve the financially challenged youth soccer player.
3) Increase awareness of financial needs of players wishing to participate in youth soccer.
Clubs initially involved are: Bixby Highlanders, Blitz-Thunder, Ft. Gibson Arsenal, NEOFC Owasso, TSC Hurricane, Union Nationals and WSA.
The primary revenue source will be an annual event in the summer that includes a non-traditional type tournament highlighted by an “event” PR game where all clubs participate in some fashion.
Planning for the event will begin soon and we are looking for dedicated volunteers to serve on the planning committee. If you are interested, please go to our website www.NFLBFoundation.com or contact Jim Tindell.
All of the participating clubs are very excited about working together for this worthwhile cause! Look for more details about the event in the near future!! Thanks for your support!!
