Schedule Update for Week of 4/11/16 and 4/18/16

Age Group Combines Schedule Update for 4/13/16 & 4/18-4/19!
To help teams devote important focus on upcoming Pres/State Cups, we will cancel tomorrow's (Wednesday 4/13/16) combines AND next week's Monday/Tuesday (4/18&4/19) for the younger ages.
Watch out for info on scheduling pre-tryout combines in May that will also allow for the "new" coaches to be involved.

Background
US Soccer announced last Fall that teams will be formed based on calendar birth year and other small-sided format changes for U8-12. These changes will impact ALL players/teams/leagues and associations that TSC Hurricane (and all other clubs) participate in beginning with the 2016-17 seasonal year.
US Soccer Player Development Initiatives were also announced relative to new small-sided formats for ALL programming including OPL, OCL, JDL and tournaments. This will also impact how teams are formed for 2016-17.

Club Plans
Our goal is to do what's best for the players while making the transition as smooth as possible. Our coaches are also planning for the following:

Age Group Combines - TSC Hurricane is proud to announce Combines that will consist of some training and scrimmages in preparation for the 2016/17 Season. These events will help introduce coaches to the players in their birth year age setting and help build relationships across our teams.

Coach Assignments - As many of you know, the club has a unique Vertical Development Philosophy where we rotate coaches every 2-3 years for the benefit of the players development and the coaches. For 2016-17, the club will plan to not make a major coach rotation as we normally would to help players/teams make the transition a little smoother. We believe this will be in the best interest of the players.

Town Halls - We will be scheduling Town Hall meetings as another communication vehicle for parents where we will be sharing information about the new changes and club plans.
